Vision Statement

We seek to:
Empower young adults to live out our faith practically and visibly
Develop genuine relationships that seek to care for and love one another
Reach out to others so they may also experience the love of Christ

“…just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Romans 6:4

New Life Fellowship is a ministry of Bread of Life Church for young adults in their twenties and thirties—typically grad students and career adults, both singles and young married. We believe in the importance of obeying the Bible, growing in love for our Lord Jesus Christ, and sharing God’s love with the world around us. The goal is to better understand and live out God’s plan for us, both in our ministry and career.

The fellowship meets regularly on Friday nights at 7:30pm in room 116 for our Large Group Program. Meetings typically include corporate worship, Bible Study, and fellowship time.

2010 Theme: Family Style

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:26-28

What does it mean to be brothers and sisters in Christ? How can we truly love one another and experience deep connections with each other as young adults, even in our diversity? This year, in 2010, our fellowship seeks to grow closer together as a community, and experience what it means to truly be a family of God.

Our teaching series is on Galatians, where Paul addresses the unity and relationship of the Jewish and Gentile Christians in the early church, and stresses their new spiritual identity together as a single family of God. Paul stresses that instead of Jewish customs and rituals defining the community of God, it is now faith in Christ working itself out through love.

As young adults, we’re looking for authentic relationships and community, but often come from diverse backgrounds – we’re different ages, work in separate fields, and have distinct hobbies. As such, we may be tempted to stay within our own customs and comfort zones, never truly participating in the fellowship at a deeper level. However, whether you’re in school or working, young or old, single or married, all of us have a vital role and contribution to discover and make in this family together.
